EV-04-02: Basketball '91

In 1891, Dr. James Naismith, from Ramsay Township
in Ontario, Canada, invented the game of basketball.
While teaching at the YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts, Naismith devised a game that relied on skill, rather than strength, for the students and could be played indoors in a confined space during the cold winter months.
The first game was played with a soccer ball, using two peach baskets as goals.
