EV-05-06: Super Joe

Illustrator, Joe Shuster was born in Toronto, Canada in 1914.

It was when his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio that he met Jerry Siegel. They became good friends and together created the action hero, Superman.

Shuster illustrated the ‘Man of Steel’, while Speigel wrote the stories.

Superman was originally introduced as the villian in "the Reign of the Superman", then later re-introduced in the inaugural issue of the "Action Comics" and became an instant hit!
